A Very Merry Oldhammer Christmas

Merry Christmas M8's!  BulldogLopez sent me one of the best gifts for Oldhammer Christmas!  A Rogue Trader version of myself that he sculpted.  Now I can relive my old battle days on the tabletop!

Warhammer Warbands

G'day M8's!  On the heels of my Skirmish-heim post, I have now embarked onto the Warbands rules in White Dwarf 296-298.  I know, all this small-hammer, what's it all about? Well to be honest small games are fun and action packed!   Who wants to keep playing boring 3000 point pitched battles every time you game.  So I'm here to tell you sometimes smaller can be better.

Walls of Graveskul

So all this wall nonsense, I know.  It all started when Cheetor mentioned something about zombie pirates and the Vampire Coast.  Then Whiskey Priest did a post on zombie pirates.  Then Cheetor said he was using his Nurgle force as pirates on a multi scale with Manowar and AoS.  So then I fell down the New World rabbit hole myself.

Monolith Con 3

It's that time of year again!   He of Three Names, BlueinVT, Squires and Maj. Guiscard descend on Castle Grayskull to battle it out over a weekend of Oldhammer.  This year being the third year topped the charts as the best one yet.

I got some scatter terrain ordered form Valquiria Studios, Ramschackle Games, and Zealot Miniatures to fill up Graveskul for an upcoming game.

Ana over at Garden's of Hecate made this graveyard...I had always wanted to do one myself.  I thought Graveskul needed a Boot Hill so gave it a go.

I was flicking through some white dwarfs and this pic jumped out at me.  Then I remembered I had an ork that looked similar so thought I would do some converting.  While I was at it I wanted to work on a couple other nobz to finish out my Waaagh.

More Terrain Boards done easy!

Clarence Harrison found a new way to make his boards...I thought I would take what he learned and try it myself.  I give you 12' of additional board made in less then a week.

Juggernauts of Khorne with a Twist

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has a love/hate relationship with these models.  I've bought them...then sold them...then bought them again...only to be once again burned and sold them for a last time.  I think my issue is that they are great models, but that they should be twice the size they are...maybe even bigger.  So what to use for juggernauts instead in my Chaos army?

This idea sprang more from playing Medieval Total War 2 and wanting to game some aspects of that then actually playing a campaign.

Foundry Re-released F2 Fighters: or a Knights Tale

When  I saw these at Boyl this year I snatched them up.  There were a few I had been after for awhile, so this was a perfect opportunity indeed.  Hopefully Foundry keeps this up. ;)

So last summer I stalled out on this army.  By Autumn I had only got 2 base colors done.  Then Iannick started up an awesome challenge over at the Oldhammer Army World Challenge. With some cajoling from Blue and Lope I entered, with the permission from Iannick since I had some paint on these already.  He said it was alright, and to make up for it, I promised myself not to use my mulligan.  So over the pasat 6 months this army got DONE!!!!
