Eternal Champions: Path to Glory

 

As a devoted disciple of the Dark Gawds you all know how I love Eternal Champions.  Also you may remember all the way back here I painted some Chaos Warriors for Zhu and he came up with these amazing rules and campaign hooks.  

 

Then JB and Cheetor's Quickening game latched on to my mind and never let go.  The ideas twisting and flowing thru my brain as a warp storm.  I started consolidating my ideas and the works of others till this began to form into a more solid campaign plan.  Which you will see below because in the end...

Rogue-Ops Comic: Burn the Crops

We played several games of Bulldog Lopez's mashed rules called "Rogue Ops".  If you haven't tried out this variation you should, it's a good time.  I gm'd this one with Bulldog Lopez playing the orks and my brother play Task Force Tomahawk.  I decided to make the Ace's a whole force action just to add some variety.  I really liked it instead of just doing heroes.  The cards can always be re designated for the forces you have i think.

Sunday's was an awesome game of Rogue Trader we just threw together.  Whiskey Priest shouted out an objective, and everyone dropped down what we had.  Goodies on one side, baddies on the other.  Then mayhem ensued!

 I painted this bad boy up as a single piece for a zombie game I did a few years back.  Now he just its on the admiring shelf.  Anyway I had the camera out and decided to take some fresh shots of old Lobo. 

Getting back into the "Wing" of things.

Not sure why but I have really been getting the itch to get my Deathwing Army on the table top.  I have never actually played Rogue Trader or anything 40k.  so it would be an entirley new venture.  The only reason I have this army is for Space Hulk and I got really inspired to paint them a few years back from site such as:

Imbedding with our elite LRRP Recon

Imperial servitor Tarkanus got to imbed with one of the latest recon patrols.  This is what he observed as our boys in blue head out to pull some surveillance on some orks.

"I thought I was imbedding into an elite unit, I mean these guys are supposed to be airborne and shit.  What I found is that they are a bunch of home erotic f*#tards that I wouldn't trust around my own mother for fear of having to call them....Dad?!?

I seriously don't know how our training standards have fallen this far!  I will have to make a vehement report to the commandant when I get back."....
