Warcry Snarf and other Beasties

With prepping my Untamed Beasts for Warcry the Rock Tusk just wasn't doing it for me. I remembered I had a leftover 4th ed Manticore tail in my bitz box so decided to convert a Dunger into my Warcry Snarf.

I'm quite pleased with the results and dare I say I almost like this version more then the original.

Warcry also call for Monoliths for your territories and I had this totem pole sitting around and thought it would fit perfectly for my Saturday Morning style.

I have another one that I need to convert so it looks a bit different from this one.

I've also been working on some local wildlife in the form of some chaos slugs I got from Creative Sculpt Studios. I liked his scheme as well so stuck with that, you can see below.
I thought they looked a bit more menacing with out the eye stalks.

And finally a pack of chaos wolves that I found on Ebay. I quite like their cartoonish look over the GW versions. They look a mix between wolves and wargs that I'm really digging.

Still plugging away on my Untamed Beasts lead by Black Vasken also in the queue is a Citadel Gothic Horror figure for a contest over at the Night Horrors facebook page.

  2. Great to see you've got another one good to game with.

    Or, you could say:

    "Snarf! Ready! Ho!"

  3. Really dig the new Snarf... It has the toon feel the previous one lacked. I mean, it looked like a chihuahua on crack, face-wise, and the tail fits and feels wonderful on the dunger body.

I'd love to see it with white fur instead of black tho.

Concerning the snails, my eyes can't really figure out what they are looking at. It reminds the old DC Lobo comics where he was eaten by dastardly snails...

    1. A white dunger...funny you should mention that. I’ve been wanting to get the big one and do a white buffalo type scenario 😂

  5. Great conversion on the Dunger Tom! I agree with you, this version looks better than the original. Which is not a bad thing really, means that your hobby skills are getting better and better.....that's what we should be aiming for right?

Looks like you've been a busy boy with painting too. Well done :)

    1. I got to use Raptoryx's yesterday. Mix them with Rocktusk's and it gets pretty nasty.
