Black Vasken: The Knightmare Begins

His eternal slumber disturbed…resurrected in blood…they brought back the wrong knight…and he is going to make them pay…the eternal knightmare begins…
Black Vasken was once a prince and an average knight, but then he died. When Black Vasken fell in battle that should have been the end, instead he awoke in his tomb, having been brought back from the dead by some nasty chaos cultists.

Unfortunately they were not that bright, they brought back the wrong knight! While attempting to raise Vasken's uncle, a great champion and bastion of carnage, they miscast their spell and raised the average Vasken instead. Vasken and the cultists did not get along, and soon the cultists were dead.

For killing the cultists the gawds of chaos rewarded some may say cursed Black Vasken with the gift of Eternal Damnation. He rides across the world now at the whim of the Chaos gawds, never dying, yet never ascending to the Realm of Chaos. He has been slain many times and each time he has resurrected to serve his masters again. He has endured many deaths and lived many lifetimes of mortal men. The curse that lies upon Black Vasken the Tattered Prince is to endure an eternal life. Only the Chaos gawds know why they have chosen such a fate for him, and their reasons are not for mortals to understand.

Black Vasken slays in the name of the Dark gawds, hoping against hope that one day he might be freed of his curse and ascend to the peaceful rest of death. Those that die under his sword he envies, for they gain the oblivion he craves. Such is the curse of Black Vasken the Tattered Prince…Now with his mighty warhorse Kringer and ever constant Kissy Snake can he unleash the Storm of Chaos to finally receive his rest?

 The knightmare begins…

In the desolate and accursed realms of Chaos, legends are born from ceaseless conquest. Clad in Chaos armor and riding upon a dark steed, comes Black Vasken, the Tattered Prince, an Eternal Champion bound to the eternal struggle of the Chaos Gawds.  In search of power, vengeance, and, perhaps, redemption. No such mercy awaits him in this world of endless war. Instead, he is caught in an eternal knightmare.

The Return of the Wrong Knight

Black Vasken was not always the chaotic force that now roams the world. Once a knight, his tragic fate was sealed when he fell in battle. Death was not the end for Vasken. His eternal slumber was disturbed when a group of misguided Chaos cultists sought to raise his legendary uncle from the grave. However, their spell misfired, and in a twist of fate, it was Vasken — the wrong knight — who was resurrected.

Unwilling to accept his fate, Vasken slaughtered the cultists who had brought him back from the dead. For this, the Chaos gawds, ever fickle, cursed him with eternal life. He would never die, yet he would never ascend to the Realm of Chaos either. Doomed to wander the world, his body returning from death again and again, but his soul trapped in a cycle of endless torment.

His only companion in this eternal curse is Kringer, a mighty steed of Chaos, as dangerous and monstrous as his rider. Together, they lead a ragtag warband, roaming the desolate lands of Chaos

The Lord of Graveskul

Within the walls of Graveskul, Vasken has found a semblance of power — or perhaps, in his eyes, a chance at redemption. The Graveskul Armory, a long-forgotten vault of ancient weapons, is one of the few remaining treasures of the fortress. Here, Vasken seeks to reclaim the relics of power that could restore his former self. If he can unlock the secrets of the armory, he might yet command the kind of power that could bring him closer to the glory he once knew — or perhaps even offer a release from his cursed existence. These treasures, scattered across the world, are key to fulfilling the prophecy of Necrodomo and claiming the mantle of Everchosen — a title that will unite the Chaos gawds and bring forth the Storm of Chaos.

But as with all things in the world of Chaos, Vasken's ambitions are fraught with danger. He is no longer the knight he once was, and his constant battles against the denizens of the of Chaos, rival champions, and the forces of order leave him forever on the brink of destruction. The gawds of Chaos have made it clear: they do not care for his redemption, only for his servitude.

Kissy Snake: The Puppet of Madness
As if his cursed existence and looming destiny weren’t strange enough, Vasken also finds comfort in the company of another unusual companion — Kissy Snake, a talking hand puppet. What sets Kissy apart from any ordinary toy is that it talks.

At first, Kissy Snake seemed like little more than a bizarre curiosity. But when Vasken placed his hand inside it, something strange happened. The puppet, an innocent-looking creature with a twisted smile and a venomous tongue, came to life. It began speaking to him, offering sardonic comments, cruel jokes, and sometimes even disturbing advice.

"I can feel it, Vasken... the winds of chaos are stirring," Kissy hisses, its rubbery voice seeping into Vasken’s mind as they ride into battle. "But do you really think they want you to succeed? Look at you — a walking corpse with a puppet for company. What a tragic sight..."

While others might dismiss the puppet as a madness-driven hallucination, Kissy Snake is very real to Vasken. It is his only constant companion along with his steed Kringer, a voice of mockery, sarcasm, and, in some strange way, comfort. Kissy Snake’s constant chatter distracts Vasken from the gnawing loneliness of his curse, though it only deepens the strange mental fracture that exists within his mind. Whether it is a figment of his imagination or a true daemon of Chaos, no one can say — but the puppet might hold some dark knowledge — a hint at the power that lies hidden in the Secrets of Graveskul.

The Chaos Gawds’ Will

The realm of Chaos is in turmoil, as the gawds themselves prepare for a cataclysmic event: the alignment of the planets. This rare celestial event is said to flood the world with the raw energy of magic, a power so intense that it threatens to unravel the very fabric of reality itself. It is during this alignment that the champions of Chaos will rise, each vying for the title of Everchosen — the one who will lead the gawds’ armies in a devastating war that will annihilate all who stand in their way.

Vasken’s role in this war is both a blessing and a curse. Though his past glory has faded into obscurity, the prophecy of Necrodomo speaks of a new Everchosen — a champion of Chaos who will rise to unite the gawds’ power and bring forth the Storm of Chaos. Black Vasken, in his desperate quest for purpose, has set his sights on the treasures scattered across the world — ancient artifacts of untold power that once belonged to the Everchosen before him. These treasures are the key to unlocking his full potential and to fulfilling the prophecy. But Vasken’s search is fraught with danger, for each artifact is guarded by powerful foes, rival champions, and even the gawds themselves.

The Gathering of Champions

The Gathering of the Everchosen is a brutal contest where champions of Chaos face each other in a fight to the death. Each warrior is a living testament to the will of the Chaos gawds, and only one can rise to the top. Vasken, armed with his fearsome steed Kringer and his unyielding desire for vengeance, enters the fray with the full knowledge that he cannot be slain by normal means. The curse of eternal life has rendered him nearly indestructible, but the one exception is that another champion on the path to becoming Everchosen may defeat him.

As the battle rages, Vasken’s true test will be not just against his rivals but against his own curse. For the gawds of Chaos have played their hand — and they have no intention of granting Vasken the peace he seeks. The only way to end the knightmare is to become the ultimate champion, but the price may be more than Vasken is willing to pay.

The Final Battle

In the end, the quest for the title of Everchosen will be a bloody affair. As the winds of magic swirl around the battlefield, Vasken’s fate will hang by a thread, his soul bound to the whims of the Chaos Gawds themselves. Kissy Snake, perched on Vasken’s sword pommel, shrieks with laughter as the battle unfolds.

“Is this your final stand, Lord of Graveskul?” he calls, voice barely a hiss over the din of battle. “Do you truly believe the Chaos Gawds will let you keep this power?”

…for there can only be one.
