Warcry Greek Bodybuilder

Who wouldn’t want a roided up angry boi to beef up their warband?!

I'd been playing Rome Total War as the Greeks and an idea slowly crept forward as the perfect figure to keep me from going all out on buying a Spartan army from Foundry.

Looking a bit like Ephialtes from 300 helped to keep me on my Greek inspiration.

To make him look more like Ephialtes I used a Fomoroid Crusher head and feet, then added spear head from the Ogor Tyrant.  You can see all the parts highlighted in this WiP.

I gave him the same skeletal warpaint as the rest of my Untamed Beasts.

Now a little while back Captain Crooks made this monstrosity that looked like a Persian demon.

Zoltan the Frustrated, daemon prince of Khorne

I think he will be the perfect villain to my Greek hero....will this be an epic or a tragedy???

    1. It was a lot of fun to come up with, and having the paint scheme already decided it made it that much more enjoyable. 😅

  2. Tasty work airbornegrove26!

The work on the feet is deftly done and the fomoroid head changes the tone of the model completely

    Great stuff!

    1. I was so worried hacking the tiny hoofs off...all I could was this better work. 😂 It really came together as I had hoped which was a great relief. It also makes me wish some of these minis were easier to convert or bring back bits. 🤷🏻‍♂️ But I think those days are done.

  3. Wow, those switched out parts really make that a completely different fig, so much so I bet you could have a second stock Myrmi-wotsit and they'd merely look like old school Citadel sister sculpts.

  5. The object source light on the shield rim is mind-blowing.

Yet I'm inclined to think there's real light inside the smokey cotton sooooo..

    :D

Black skin is super cool. I mean black hue not any kind of racial stuff.

    1. Yup that’s reflection off the LED light in the cotton. Ya the war paint was a lot easier on the big model then it was on the little ones. 😂
