Time for the tower and buildings to get painted.

Those eyes couldn't have worked out better.  After showing the Governor we have decided that the ship will be sentient spirit, able to control itself.  Freeing up my chaos warriors for the slaughter.  ;)

K tower is done, buidlings are done, next up I got a cool little addition.  Then I think I should be able to finish up the aircraft.  After that it's some tiny aesthetic type stuff to add all over.

  1. So the crew is part of the ship.....very Flying Dutchman of you....) This thing is the stuff of nightmares, now you need some escorts....)

  2. I'm glad you decided that the ship itself was a creature. With the tower painted up like that (which looks amazing BTW) it surely is convincing.

Not to mention this could generate a great "mishap" chart when the ship decides that whatever the captain wants to do is a really bad idea....

    1. Ooh! I bet Mary Shelly doesn't have that . . . feature. :D

    2. Wayyyyyy back in time, when GW did the original "General's Compendium", I was part of a huge ship battle. A "Hell (or Hellmouth) Cannon" I think it was called, was considered a creature and had a "mishap" chart. In the middle of the battle, the Hell Cannon rolled some sort of rampage result, and over the next 2 or 3 turns ended up eating the entire Chaos Crew.

      It was truly spectacular.

    3. By contrast, the ancient Mary Shelley just suffers from creeping metal fatigue with the minor side effect of small hard to detect leaks. Occasionally a leak "might" cause a compartment to suddenly and explosively decompress. No big deal really... the crew wears red to be more easily found as they careen off into deep space. Most are recovered.

  3. Love it! The eyes have it! This is a truly, epically wild project you guys are working on here. It's really quite splendid.

  4. The way you've painted that demonic face makes it look quite intimidating, which is just as it should be.

  5. Great eyes clearly the ship is sentient. My question is if she(?) is a ship that sings what sort of cacophony would a chaos ship sing? I suppose bolt thrower is too obvious?

  8. One of the many things I enjoy about these updates is that I can see visible progress. And it's not, like on Beasts of War and their Prussian army vlog, a series of pictures of your head without anything hobbywise to see.
