I have some contrast paints on the way, sadly they wont get here till next week. So I thought I'd use my time to get some genestealers prepped in anticipation.
You know just boring prep work like trimming flash
and gluing bases.
They are getting there, but not quite.
They need some liquitex light modeling paste on their bases, boring I know.
Primed white and ready for one thick coat!
I've just started painting up my stealers with contrast paints, really great job. I can see me actually finishing an army!
ReplyDeleteSweet! I'm excited to give it a go!
DeleteReally curious about the final result. :)
ReplyDeleteWe should know by the end of the month. 😉
DeleteI think Contrast will quickly become the go-to system for painting genestealers....if they haven't already.
ReplyDeleteI'll be doing mine in the same manner, but I won't have all my minis until Xmas so I'll have to wait until then to give it a try. I'll be interested to see how yours turn out in the interim.
Keep in truckin Tom :)
I’m excited by the notion. It would be nice to have them all painted in a weekend. I’ll keep you posted Mec!
DeleteSweet they will soon get finished I am sure.
ReplyDeleteI should have all the colors by the weekend. Hoping for a 2 week turnaround at the latest.
DeleteAs Mr. P said, I also have it in mind to use Contrast paints on the genestealers. Interested to see your recipe ...
ReplyDeleteI’ll share for sure.
DeleteI have a squad of 10 that's waiting for paint. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with the Contrast paints on these as I was considering using the same.
ReplyDeleteIt’s a good call. I’m excited to give them a try.
DeleteI can't imagine better subjects for Contrast paints...excited to see them all done up!
ReplyDeleteCheck my latest post just posted the first 7!
DeleteThe less glamorous, but totally necessary, side of the hobby.
