Frostrgrave is Old news...Zombicide Black Plague arrived at my door today!
So yes Zombicide Black Plague arrived today! Cya later frostgrave, LOL. I am so excited! As you can see it came in a custom box of nerdage. I am just blown away by the quality of this game. This is just the main game set. All of the add ons are supposed to arrive first quarter of 2016...no biggy. I would much rather wait for it to be right, then get a rushed product.

Frostrgrave Warband
So I finally got my Frostgrave warband painted up. Most of these figures had been languishing on the painting table begging to be finished.

The Legions of Undeath
So I have been meaning to get a start on my undead horde before the actual horde gets here. Yes I helped fund Zombicide Black Plague because you know fantasy zombies!

A traveling Oldhammer Wizard for Forstgrave
He might be a perfect start to a Frostgrave warband. I have been hearing so many good things about Frostgrave, I might need to give them a try.
He has been languishing on the painting table begging to be finished for months. He finally cast a spell that got the job done.
I can't say enough about these Grenadier Copplestone figures with their clean lines and and effective poses. The miniatures virtually paint themselves. They have truly stood the test of time.

Mk 1 Terminators are duh sh*t!
So a bunch of us got these sweet new Mk 1 terminators from Drew Williams. Who is quite the sculptor in my opinion. Well I as soon as I got mine I cleared my painting table and got to work. Here are the results. There are some rough spot on the paint job but that was the plan. He looks very grungy crawling along the corridors.
The banner: I was actually going to attempt to repaint that whole image. I started to and realized that the minute details were going to be lost by the paintbrush. So I opted to just paint the outside borders then gave it several washes and weathered it up a bit.

So Kaha Miniatures released this, and I had to have it! You can also find them on Facebook.
Anyway I have renamed mine Tusk for now, and he will be the monster muscle for Klint Beastwood's warband.

Hammer Hollow Progress #4
Well after the flocknado it was time to get down to business. You might notice I have made a stand of woods for the spider wood. I got the idea from the Warhammer General's Compendium.
I have also added foliage to the standing Warhammer trees, several bushes, fallen leaves, and pumpkins hidden into the landscape. Next up will be the various skeletons, treasure chests, and other little atmospheric items.
This has been my favorite post about Hammer Hollow yet. Things are really starting to take shape, and it is beginning to look like the vision I had in my head.

Hammer Hollow progress #1 Hills of Excrement
So I have got the base foam pasted and based coated. Apologies for the poor pics but I was in a rush, and the light was not cooperating either. I have gone with the ground color as my normal color for my fantasy bases.
The rocks are going to be a burnt sienna brown. (Yes I know, the hills look like giant piles of shit at this point). Hopefully we can get that remedied. LOL
With the trees and flagstones being a bone color. The tower on a whim is going to be black. I though battles fought around a dark/black tower sounded pretty sweet.

Welcome to Hammer Hollow
So I am finally getting around to putting my terrain board together. This has been in the planning stages for quite some time. Well with a bit of free space on the painting schedule, I decide to get after it.
After scouring the interwebs for inspiration I finally settled on what I needed. I got my hills cut, my accessories ordered, and bought some spray foam.

New Oldhammer blog, to me at least, Madhouse Society
So I stumbled upon the fine blog of Urion Franz today over at Madhouse Society. He has been around for a bit, but what really drew me in was his new Oldhammer chaos project which is simply gorgeous.
Take a look for yourself. Nice huh!
Anyway, I thought I would give him a bit of a shout out, as this was the first I had seen of him around the Oldhammer community. Head on over and give his blog a look, oh and help a brother out, and hit is follow button. ;)
As for me. Real life has really put a damper on my hobby time. However do not fear faithful followers. There is much in the planning, and given a free minute I will be strating some lovely new projects I hope to share with you all.
Until next time, keep those dice rolling, and they paintbrushes brushing!

Oldhammer Weekend USA: Tablequest...what's that? Click and find out!
Tablequest is only the best new free wargame ruleset you can play with your Oldhammer minaitures.
If you can't take my word for it, check out this sweet battle report Bulldog Lopez and I played with it! It was pretty ball'n, especially using Bulldog's Mighty Forest as a backdrop!!! Enjoy, and I look forward to hearing from those who give the rule set a shot.

So here is the showcase game report of the weekend! Many Thanks go to Brian Kirkell for Gming, supplying the scenario, terrain, and many of the miniatures for this one. Also special mention should go to Frederick Kober for assisting as game master, and supplying troops as well.

Oldhammer Weekend USA: A side quest to the Frank Frazetta museum
On Thursday Me and Bulldog Lopez decided to go up to the Frank Frazetta museum....cause you know Oldhammer! LOL
We got off the highway in East Stroudsburg and then we are on these little rural roads being choked by the encroaching forest on each side. We came to our turn off, and we could hardly see the lane in front of us the brush and brambles were so thick. Then a clearing opens up and we could see the museum
Anyway here are the pic's!!!

Oldhammer Weekend USA: Battle Masters
Frederick Kober said he had a copy of Battle Masters to play, with nothing to do I jumped at it. DeathJester25 came over and agreed to be the empire, and I took the chaos. (of course!)
What ensues was a bitter struggle across every hex of the battle map. With my chaos horde being defeated by the fine generalship of DeathJester25. ;)

Oldhammer Weekend USA...it begins!
Oldhammer Weekend was a whirlwind of Oldhammer gaming. Bare with me I'm a little wore out.
I thought the event went smoothly and from all the feedback so far everyone had a blast, I know I did.
So thanks to all who made it work, you all know who you are.
Anyway enough writing I know you all want to see pics. I have a ton, as I get them edited and reports written I will get them posted up. This is a walk through of Friday's festivities. Enjoy!

RPGing life...or my journey to Oldhammer Weekend!
Gentle followers. Oldhammer Weekend in the us is upon us. Unlike most of my compatriouts I had everything painted weeks ago, pre packed last week. So all I had to do on Wed. was pack and leave.

I am a Barbarian and Barbarianism must Ultimately Triumph!
“Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they
can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.”
― Robert E. Howard
I got these beautiful figures in the mail today. The thief is cool, but the Barbarian is what I was after!

Oldhammer Legacy Warband 2015: Zoat in a half shell
Here is my entry for the Oldhammer legacy warband. I have dubbed him Teenage Mutant Ninja Zoat. Sticking with the required turquoise and bone theme, I have fashioned him after my favorite turtle Donatello.

My Oldhammer Chaos Army
Vasken before he died and turned to chaos. |
I have done my best to stick with the spirit of Stillmania. I think I have achieved this...except coating my army in the layers of gloss varnish!
I will be bringing this army to Oldhammer Weekend U.S.A. taking on all comers. Hoping to slay and cause red ruin!!!

Oldhammer Chaos Dwarf Cavalry
If you haven't found out by now I love cavalry in my fantasy armies. I especially like dwarf cavalry! Thanks goodness for White Knights brilliant range, though meant for classic good armies. I now have two units of converted bad dwarfs. These units can be bulked into a large unit of 16 or can be fielded separate as 8 dwarfs strong.
Remember you too can add dwarf cavalry to your armies, check out my points crunch post: Here

Orc and Goblin Commission complete.
Just wrapped these up this week. They were a lot of fun as I had never really painted Greenskins en masse.
The client is pleased with them, so job well done.
Now back to Chaos and getting things ready for Oldhammer Weekend.
