My latest unit for my chaos army. I had been trying to find a unit of wolf clad dwarfs/goblins for some time. Then they got magically sculpted by Kev Adams. How could I not get these guys! ;)
I first got the idea for painting these from this beautifully painted slayer on the end.
These figures are absolutely fantastic and exactly what I had been looking for. ;)
I wanted the unit to be a mix between viking beserkers and native Americans. I hope that comes across in the paint jobs even with my limited color palette.
Either way they really fit in with the rest of the army. Which I will showcase in a future post.
Cya next time. ;)
Fucking magic!
ReplyDeleteCheers Mate!
DeleteBleedin' deadly!
ReplyDeleteThanks buddy. ;)
DeleteWooow!! :O
ReplyDeleteYou just broke my awesometer! I would have never thought of this approach. Sir, hats off, truly great work!
Thanks Suber. I will send some money for a new awesometer. ;) LOL
DeleteO yeeeah... Those are frikken sweet! Black gobbos with warpaint? I'll take it. And then run away lest they scalp my knees.
ReplyDeleteThose names - inspired by outside influences at all?
Thanks Dai! They will scalp your knees so be careful. Names and events have been changed to keep the identity of those involved safe. ;)
DeleteNice to see them painted. I just received my shipment of those figs and they are sitting on my desk, just stuck for inspiration...
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Ratwig
Thanks Ratwig! They are fun litte models to paint. You will have to post yours up and show me when you get yours done. ;)
DeleteI really like the bone body paint, very cool theme for these guys.
ReplyDeleteThanks bro! ;)
DeleteAs other have pointed out your choice of black, white and red is particularly striking and very effective. Cheetor is my favourite mini (and paint-job) in this group with the chequered heart motif being a solid piece of freehand painting. Well done!
ReplyDeleteMuch appreciated James. 😉I will say he was a tough one to base. That banner weighs a ton. 😂😂😂
DeleteThis is awesome stuff, absolutely love the paintwork on these characters
ReplyDeleteThanks Gobbo!
DeleteI just love, love, love this sort of creative, dramatic take. It takes real courage to pull off something like this. And the risk totally paid off... as all the other commentators have said, they are AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteVery much appreciated Matthew. 😎
DeleteGreat stuff. The colours make for a Very striking unit!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kym. ;)
