Somewhere in Spain...

In the rugged hills of Spain, Captain Redoubt, commander of French Voltigeurs, led his troops to seize a small village. This bold move set the stage for a looming confrontation with the combined forces of the British, Portuguese, and Spanish, promising a fierce battle that would test Captain Redoubt's leadership and the resilience of his gritty Voltigeurs.

As the armies converged on the battlefield, the small villages on each flank became pivotal points of contention, with Captain Redoubt successfully holding one and Spanish partizans holding the other.

The battle commenced with desultory cannon fire, setting the stage for the French 40th Regiment's bold assault on the center.

However, the British Highlanders halted their advance with precise volley fire, and a countercharge by the British 23rd Fusiliers thwarted the French thrust.
In a turning point, exploiting an overconfident move by the Spanish general, General Lasalle seized the opportunity, leading a charge that scattered the Spanish battalion and created a breach in the allied center.

Lasalle's daring maneuvers continued as the Dragoons routed The Don Sanchez Lancers and scattered the British signal station and traveling officers.

With the situation desperate, Lasalle, arrogantly puffing on his pipe, signaled for another charge. The Dragoons, inspired by their commander, unleashed a charge downhill into a Spanish battalion ,breaking their ranks.
Their momentum continued into the 23rd Fusiliers. The clash was fierce, but the Dragoon's proved unstoppable, the Fusiliers broke.
The Gordon Highlanders were next to fall as the Dragoons forced them to retire beyond the road. Despite their blown horses, the Dragoons had wreaked havoc, shattering the allied center and routing or destroying five battalions within minutes.

With the allied forces in disarray, the remaining Spanish infantry retreated to the village, seeking refuge with the Spanish partizans.
The Portuguese, recognizing the danger, attempted a push for Captain Redoubt's village.
With drilled proficiency the Portuguese assault is  repelled by the relentless fire from the Voltigeurs.
Simultaneously, the French 88th Line Regiment seized the Spanish-held village on the other flank.
Facing a broken center and with Captain Redoubt's position secure, the British command chose to retreat, leaving the field to the victorious French forces.
