I decided to repaint the Genestealer Patriarch with my original black and teal scheme. I also hacked off the base of the plastic spacehulk broodlord to make him more imposing. I think he will do nicely leading this brood of stealers.
Love this fig and have one primed and ready for paint in my queue along with the rest of a sizable collection to make a nice sized Chaos Genestealer Cult army. (A project that has sadly fallen by the wayside as I got more into WW2 gaming.) Really like the scheme you've done on yours though. Do you have cultists to go with him?
Forgot to say how cool is that eyes are not glowing teal. That focuses the danger on what's inside the beasts and how can they mess with you instead of how they see you or whether they have any kind of individual intelectual or don't. Love them.
Your scheme for the genestealers is pure genius. They're like nothing else I've ever seen - and when you see them in the big group shots, they look truly terrifying. I, for one, welcome our new alien overlords.

DeleteThat's a great genestealer colour scheme. I get very tired of the classic purple and blue/grey, and that has lovely visual pop.
