I felt like my banners needed a final touch. So decided on a unified banner top to tie everything together.
I had a private company scan and print several pieces for final touches to my army. Chariot scythes of the dark elf blood cauldron, as well as several Black Vasken Heads.
Finally some copies of a gauntlet I had used for my chariots already
Black Vasken presenting the banners to his warbands.
great finishing touches

DeleteTies them together nicely. I do wonder what companies are going to do about this scan-and-print thing that has become possible. I'm not against it for bits like this as I'm not against using some silicone putty or press mould to do the same thing but there's going to be quite a lot of in-production miniatures appearing scanned and 'free' on Thingiverse and similar as this develops and I can see many small companies losing livelihoods over it.
ReplyDeleteThere are definitely close up imperfections so for full models I still prefer the industry standard. Only time will tell.
DeleteNice stuff, really like those chariots, I foresee nothing but pain for the opposition.
ReplyDeleteThanks man! The chariots were a fun addition.
DeleteGood idea! Really ties the room together - ahem! I mean, the army!
ReplyDelete;)
DeleteFantastic stuff, wonderfully painted!
ReplyDeleteThanks Matt
DeleteThat's nice! Well seen, this is exactly the kind of touch they needed, pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteI have a few more little bits and bobs I want to add and then I think it will finally be done. I've outgrown the normal points values for games I play so wouldnt add to much more at this point.
DeleteThey look great :)
ReplyDeleteThanks buddy
DeleteGreat idea: really helps to bring the army together.
ReplyDeleteI do like the uniform look as much as possible....funny for a chaos army I know. LOL
DeleteAmazing how something so simple and small, really makes all the difference!
ReplyDeleteIt's the little things that count ain't it. ;)
DeleteYes yes yes! An army might as well be unpainted unless it has FUCKING MARVELLOUS BANNERS like these.
ReplyDeleteAh ya…you know it Curis!
DeleteYou never fail to impress, AG. Your army is thoroughly metal. You make me love chaos! Well done sir!
