Hope the New Year finds you all well. I've finally got aorund to getting my comic reports done form Monolith-con back in November! Also doing a blog giveaway if you hadn't seen. Check this post out for all the details.
This Monolith-Con was a bit of a special occasion where Maj. Guiscard and Cheetor got to finally meet up in real life. If you read their blogs regularly you might remember them doing crossblog battle reports from way back in the day.
Major Guiscard had this to say:
In an amazing show of commitment, Cheetor flew across the Atlantic and
joined us this time. If you've been following the GovGen blog for
awhile, you'll know Cheetor and I have a history. In 2014, we played a
campaign where I sent him a set of minis and he played a series of
episodic games, then he mailed them back (plus some of his) and I played
a set of episodes to complete it. It was one of the most satisfying
gaming experiences I've ever accomplished. Here's the link to the first
episode: https://govgensectorsix.blogspot.com/2014/03/the-secret-war-part-1.html
The whole shebang was done by posts and email, so MonolithCon IV was the
first time Cheetor and I have ever spoken, much less met face to face.
So to celebrate we setup a great game of Hardwired where all our Rogue Trader Heroes could team up against the Evil Zabick Mining Corp. LLC
Hardwired is a simple game with just the right amount of tension I'm really starting to enjoy. More on that in next weeks post. ;)
Great write up of the game, very tense as it progressed.
ReplyDeleteAlways great when you get to meet up with people you spend so much time conversing with over the internet, been very lucky to meet a lot of these people, but still a few more I would like to
Wait till you see how tense next weeks episode is!
DeleteGah!! those assholes at Zabik mining are always screwing things up!! nice report bro.

DeleteGreat stuff!
ReplyDeleteThanks man!
DeleteThat was a great game, and to get Verhoeven and Guiscard together again was priceless.
ReplyDeleteLopez indiscriminately chucking grenades all over the place was an added bonus.
The grenades and forgetting him were hilarious!
DeleteKAPOOOOOOOKOOOW!
ReplyDeleteZiiiiiiiing! Claaaaank!!
DeleteHelmwar strikes me as a bit of an Anakin Skywalker when he takes out the Sepratist council in the end of Ep3. Not really very sporting. LOL
ReplyDeleteLoved it mate. Good write up and a great way to start the year off.
Thanks buddy! I have much more in the works. Stay tuned. ;)
DeleteSuperbly illustrated Thomas. A real great work!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Appreciate it Nico 👍
DeleteFan Dabby Dozy as they say in Glasgow
ReplyDeleteThanks Dave
DeleteHardwhat? Never heard of it... I was on my trippy toes expecting a Reality's Edge post but I got hardwired instead.
ReplyDeleteNice to know btw. Loved the guardsmen with the big robot head, the chicken and specially the pic of the guys having fun. Lighting and setting feels out of a mid 90s white dwarf.
I'll be looking forward moar cyberpunk goodness.
Cheers
Thanks Javi...Hardwired is a fun little ruleset for sure. Don't worry I got lots more where this came from. ;)
