Abdul Goldberg the Ayatollah of Rocknrolla

'Abdul Goldberg stole your ship off you -the poker game was rigged and your sure he put something in your drink. Your crew are unhappy - having been turfed from their ship together with their possessions. The ship and its new crew leaves tonight - unless you can steal it back!'

Abdul Goldberg has crossed you for the last time-it was pure luck that your paths should cross on this isolated planet outside of Imperial control. He and his crew are relaxing down at Greasy Kim’s Bar and Diner, unaware that you and your crew are ready to pounce. The Diner is mostly deserted, with only a few lonely vac-heads and spacers to witness the fight.

Thanks to Whiskey Priest for having these posted already for me to use. ;)
So happy readers here is my version of Abdul Goldberg for the Emporium.  Nefarious space ruffian and your hero's nemesis.  Or at least that friend who always seems to get you in trouble.

I had several ideas for my figure.  First was going to be a heavily converted rogue trader mini.  Looking through my lead pile that seemed a bust from the get go.

Then I thought maybe a wrestler and was thinking of using hasselfree's torturer to fit the bill.

The true inspiration struck and I decided to go with the King!

I need to get me one of these suits!
So here he is folks Abdul Goldberg the Ayatollah of Rocknrolla!  A flashy gangster who fancies himself a bit of a rockstar.  His profession lets him get into places very easily.  However the drinking and drugs can get him into some very sticky scenarios.

The yellow is becoming one of my new favorite recipes.  It is Foundry's Ochre triad, in four layers.  I go shade, then wash it with GW Fuegan Orange, then shade again, then the base and highlight.

I also used Foundry's Near Eastern flesh triad for his skin.

Now to get him on the table top and wreck yours, mine, awe hell everyone's plans on the table top.

Abdul why do I keep hanging out with you?

  1. Looking sharp. I like the closeups. I need to remember the base, wash, base then highlights technique. I should have done it for the otherworld warlock I'm working on. I should have him posted up today.

  2. The perfect miniature for the perfect villain.
And legend says that he can't be killed, except when he's sitting on his throne.

  3. "As you enter the bar where Abdul Goldberg is supposed to hide you see him directly, he is standing on the stage, singing and dancing with the mike. When he sees you he declares 'If you're looking for trouble: You came to the right place. If you're looking for trouble: just look right in my face. I was born standing up and talking back, my daddy was a green-eyed mountain jack. Because I'm evil, my middle name is misery. Well I'm evil, so don't you mess around with me!'. If the players try to shoot Abdul while he do his little speech, he will jump to the left, quickdraw his bolterpistols while declare them 'Nothin' but hound dogs!'."

I love your Abdul, the idea of him as the Ayatollah of Rocknrolla is just so Rogue Trader-ish :). Do you have any routine for him?
