Well January has been busy around here

New reading material, destroying painting goals and much much more...

So I have had a pretty productive January so far.  I have painted around 50 miniatures.  Some Oldhammer some not...everyone else is spreading their modern wings LOL why shouldn't I?

First up is some lovely new reading material.  I really took a chance on the Slaine's as I absolutely love the Horned God if you hadn't noticed.  These two did not disappoint.  Treasures of Britian is about Slaine time traveling to the world of King Arthur.  Warriors Dawn is Slaine's early shenanigans alluded to in the Horned God.  Both excellent titles.  As for Full Circle a bit of a weird read, but I honestly didn't buy it for the story.  The pictures are absolutely gwa-jus darlings!

Oh and that other one...you noticed that did you?  Yes that is my new very own copy of ROGUE TRADER...BOOM!  Having finally read through the entire ruleset...wow!  I already have miniatures on the way.  There are a number of other excellent analysis of Rogue Trader on the blogosphere so I wont bore you.  I will just say I am really looking forward to exploiting this rule set for my own uses. ;)  Lot's of ideas are in the works.

Oh and I have been busy at the painting table. Yes you read that right up top, I have knocked out around 50 miniatures already this year.  I'm hoping to keep this pace up for a bit.  We will see.  I am working on a couple Warhammer Chaos mini's, I know shock!  They aren't ready, as aren't my new Rogue Trader miniatures.

So for now you are going to have to settle for some newer lines.  However I think they are oozing with old skool ethos.  You be the judge. ;)

First up are these two awesome figures from Hasslefree.  First up this this She-Man, I'm actually thinking of naming her that cause it's hilarious.  The other is the little girl from Adventures in Babysitting, who I have painted to go along with my chaos army.

Then we have a sweet project I bought into on Kickstarter Super Dungeon Explorer. These little Chib minis are ca-ute.

Lastly I started my Zombicide Black Plague project.  Unfortunately for me I got caught up in the Walking Dead marathon over the new years.  So I really took a liking to the Michonne character and tracked one down from the orginal Zombicide.  I'm going to use her as hero warped through time to fight these fantasy zombies.  Should make for some interesting fluff.  Especially if she keeps navigating with her cell phone and taking selfies, and no one else knows what the hell she is doing.  I'm thinking of calling her Mirage at the moment.  Kind of a mix between Michonne and Minaj since she inspired the scheme. LOL  I haven't looked over my favorite name lists though so we will see.

Of course we also have the shambling horde.  I have around thirty of these done.  With a simple scheme on them I expect to keep after them at a decent pace.  This game is great by the way.  Yet it also is simple enough to be hacked for lot's of other rule sets if you have favorite that you prefer.  I've been toying with using Heroquest rules.  We will see how that turns out.

I also got to head out to the East Coast for a gaming weekend, if you hadn't already seen my previous battle report.  Well up next is the Epilogue to that Battle, then we have the Epilogue to this Summer's Rogue Trader Alamo game.  So be on the look out for those.  Until next time my friends. ;)

    1. Thanks JB. I'm really enjoying reading the first back and white stories. The treasures of Britian was pretty sweet. The art was very comparable to the BIZ. She-Man is just a splendid model. She painted herself. LOL Don't worry most of the Zombicide figures are quickly speed painted. They look great all horde up.

  2. Ugh, blogger ate my comment. Cool comics and your figure output is amazing. I'm in a comp right now and I've only done about 25 figures and a vehicle in one month. I need to start reading my copy of RT and the Realm of Chaos books I acquired.
