Scale Creep Imperial Blood Beret:
This Blood Beret gave me a real throbbing Bonner! You know when that happens you gotta make'em Airborne! I can see this Red Beret Rambo dropping into the jungle getting into all sorts of trubl.
He's got his big gun, with bayonet already affixed, what looks like a
grenade launcher as well. No scope my kinda guy going iron sights.
Great work, especially with the camo pattern on the trousers and detail symbol on the shoulder pad
ReplyDeleteThanks Dave, it was well worth the extra effort for usre. ;)
DeleteLoved Warzone back in the day! I was a huge fan of the Imperial faction style. The trenchers being my favs.
ReplyDeleteLovely take on the Blood Beret - your typical vibrant colour choices does the sculpt loads of justice
Anything with a beret gets me fired up to paint. LOL
DeleteThe imperial Range does have some nice pieces. I'll def be giving the whole a range a look and might get some more.
LMAO.
ReplyDeleteDig your (Paul) bonner, mostly because you know.
Ya balls are bigger 🤣
Won't comment perfection tho.
Maybe, just maybe... Do you remember the other stuff? Much like GW marines being colorful these mofos had the Tigers whatever (orange blood berets) the crimson ones having a rose symbol...
They all had a special trait like the ones being good fighting in vacuum.
Got that book somewhere... My point tho, any OG mutant chronicles give me a Bonner BUT the obscure stuff, like "that was on the 23rd page of expansion book 4"...
Anyway, jizztastic post!
Javi glad you like it man! It saddens me to admit I dont know that much about the game outside the 2 books I picked up as a lad. I've been looking it over and doing some research tho and am quite interested. I really enjoyed painting this one and have been looking at more of the range on Prince if August.
DeleteThis guy is clearly elite - I mean look at that stance! Very little of his silhouette presented to any potential enemy to his front isn't protected by those VERY BIG... shoulder guards... of his... It's all shoulder pads, head, gun, boots... No vital organs in danger there!
ReplyDeleteLooks brilliant!
LoL that made me think of a shoulder pad with a couple of boots under.
DeleteThat would make an funny mini!
Fix bayonets....erm Sir I had my bayonet fixed days ago. LOL
Deletelook great!
ReplyDeleteThanks Riot!
DeleteWell done :) Warzone was the first wargame I played in the early nineties. Unfortunatelly I sold all my vintage miniatures some years ago :( I've only saved (and painted) Golgotha.
ReplyDeleteI was at the age were I missed this. I did have a couple of the novels. However I've been looking at a rules pdf and staring at the catalog online. Could be a fun chancge of pace.
DeleteLooks great! Give the game a go. Want to talk about wild, cinematic action? You have it right there! 1st edition Warzone is right up your alley.
ReplyDeleteI might have to do that!
DeleteNice job, have that game still unopened somewhere, got it as a gift from my parents but was way too much into fantasy so I didn´t even bother open it. Looking at yours does give me an itch though!
