Rogue-wired

Hope the New Year finds you all well.  I've finally got aorund to getting my comic reports done form Monolith-con back in November!  Also doing a blog giveaway if you hadn't seen.  Check this post out for all the details.

This Monolith-Con was a bit of a special occasion where Maj. Guiscard and Cheetor got to finally meet up in real life.  If you read their blogs regularly you might remember them doing crossblog battle reports from way back in the day.

Major Guiscard had this to say:

In an amazing show of commitment, Cheetor flew across the Atlantic and joined us this time. If you've been following the GovGen blog for awhile, you'll know Cheetor and I have a history. In 2014, we played a campaign where I sent him a set of minis and he played a series of episodic games, then he mailed them back (plus some of his) and I played a set of episodes to complete it. It was one of the most satisfying gaming experiences I've ever accomplished. Here's the link to the first episode: https://govgensectorsix.blogspot.com/2014/03/the-secret-war-part-1.html

The whole shebang was done by posts and email, so MonolithCon IV was the first time Cheetor and I have ever spoken, much less met face to face.

So to celebrate we setup a great game of Hardwired where all our  Rogue Trader Heroes could team up against the Evil Zabick Mining Corp. LLC

Hardwired is a simple game with just the right amount of tension I'm really starting to enjoy. More on that in next weeks post. ;)

  1. Great write up of the game, very tense as it progressed.
Always great when you get to meet up with people you spend so much time conversing with over the internet, been very lucky to meet a lot of these people, but still a few more I would like to

  4. That was a great game, and to get Verhoeven and Guiscard together again was priceless.
Lopez indiscriminately chucking grenades all over the place was an added bonus.

  5. Helmwar strikes me as a bit of an Anakin Skywalker when he takes out the Sepratist council in the end of Ep3. Not really very sporting. LOL

Loved it mate. Good write up and a great way to start the year off.

  8. Hardwhat? Never heard of it... I was on my trippy toes expecting a Reality's Edge post but I got hardwired instead.

Nice to know btw. Loved the guardsmen with the big robot head, the chicken and specially the pic of the guys having fun. Lighting and setting feels out of a mid 90s white dwarf.

I'll be looking forward moar cyberpunk goodness.

    Cheers
